Both hand picked and harvested by machine, grapes are sorted and de-stalked before being gently pressed in order to extract maximum colour in the juice. Then juice undergoes a traditional fermentation, left on lees for up to 28 days, with regular pumping in small stainless steal vats, under temperature control process. Then MENUTS goes for maturation in oak barrels for a period of minimum 3 months.
Maison Rivière, owner and wine merchants since 1875 at Saint Emilion produced his Bordeaux MENUTS motivated by a sole goal : Coming up to highest expectations of wine connoisseurs. The expression of an exceptionnal soil gives to its grapes all the delicate aromas of citrus and white flower emphasized by a light toasty oak taste. Lively and nervy structure as well as a silky texture bring MENUTS to the top quality of Bordeaux as the ideal accompaniment of your sea food meals.
