70% Merlot; 25% Cabernet Sauvignon; 5% Cabernet Franc
Gravel with clay limestone subsoil.
Both hand-picked and harvested by machine, grapes are sorted and de-stalked before being gently pressed in order to extract maximum colour in the juice. Then juice undergoes a traditional fermentation, left on lees for up to 28 days, with regular pumping over in small stainless steel vats, under temperature control process.
M. Dafre, the owner, produces organic wines since 80’s and his vineyard of 32 ha is surrounded by wood. Vines are grown under very strict rules held by ECO-CERT for all Organic culture in France. No chemicals are allowed!
This wine has a deep ruby colour, a nose of ripe berries and a nice fruity round palate with smooth tannins.
This Red Bordeaux is delicious with red meat, stews, snacks and cheeses and will age perfectly for between 5 years.
